What is the MV Award?

The Millennium Volunteer Award is a National Government funded initiative for young people aged 16 to 25. Its aims are to encourage, support and recognise young people who give up some of their time for the benefit of others and their local communities. Through MV you can make a difference for both yourself and the community.

What's in it for you?

MV offers tailor-made volunteering opportunities for anyone aged 16-25. It doesn't matter whether you are in or out of work, a student or a graduate - you can get involved. The emphasis is on building skills and experiences, while doing something that really makes a difference to your community.

In return for your commitment, you will receive a certificate after 50 and 100 hours of volunteering and an Award of Excellence from the Scottish Government after 200 hours, personally signed by Scotland's First Minister.
