| What happens after training?
After befrienders have completed training they will meet with the co-ordinator and together they will choose a befriendee based on various factors, including interests, hobbies, personality and skills.
You will then meet with the befriendee and if relevant their carer/support worker.
We ask for a minimum commitment of six months to allow time to develop a relationship. |

You will encourage the befriendee to take part in activities within the local community and support them with your company and hopefully have fun together.
Once you are matched in a relationship, the co-ordinator or support worker will provide on-going support for the duration of the relationship. We also hold regular support sessions for befrienders. |
